Investment Director
 

Location: Prague or Bratislava

We are looking for a senior investment professional or an entrepreneur who would join the team and support the activities of our new venture capital fund at a senior level. The fund would make investments in the range of €1-4M in tech companies and growth innovation-driven SMEs originating from Czechia and Slovakia, either as a fresh capital provider or in the secondary market. 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the fundraising process from institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals

  • Sourcing of deal opportunities via contacts with tech companies, investors, advisors, and the broader community

  • Executing investment cases and covering all aspects of the investment process from opportunity assessment, due diligence, term sheet development and negotiation, and coordination of the legal work

  • Building solid relationships with founders while working through the investment process and providing mentorship and assistance when required

  • Supervising portfolio companies and dealing with other matters arising with investments, such as working on follow-on investment opportunities, determining strategic growth plans and developing action plans for vulnerabilities or opportunities identified in the portfolio companies 

  • Maintaining relationship with limited partners and co-investors

  • Supporting wider activity of Limerock venture capital business

Requirements​

  • Minimum of 7 years of prior relevant work experience, preferably in an top-tier investment bank, venture capital or leading strategy consulting firm. Entrepreneurial experience as a founder or CEO would be a huge advantage

  • ​​Self-starter with superior work ethic and uncompromising personal integrity

  • A sound understanding of science and technology led or enabled businesses is desirable

  • Passionate about the tech and venture capital investments

  • Ability to provide a quick and sound judgement

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships

  • ​Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team to achieve measurable results

  • ​Experience in giving formal oral presentations to audiences and demonstrated public speaking
