Roman currently acts as a key executive of Limerock Fund Manager. Prior to his current JEREMIE asset management mandate he was building advisory business at Limerock Advisory and was a member of investment committee in a private equity fund.

He is an experienced and trusted advisor to the private and public sector on the sell and buy side and has completed numerous transactions in Slovakia and around. His expertise dates to 1997 and is based on involvement in privatisations, corporate transactions, due diligences, valuations, and providing advice to the numerous prominent local and international clients.

He was a member of narrow advisory team acting on the public authority’s side in the process leading to successful close of a EUR 1.2bn PPP project which involved a 30-year concession for building, financing and operating of 50+ km of motorway in Slovakia. This transaction was awarded the Project Finance Deal of the Year 2009 Award by Project Finance Magazine.

In the transaction world, Roman has built his experience on numerous mandates on sell and buy side, preparation of valuation models, execution of due diligences, preparation of transaction documentation. He was involved in, among others: privatisation of Slovenská poisťovňa, Transpetrol, Slovenský plynárenský priemysel, Airport Bratislava, ZSSK Cargo, acquisitions by Telefonica of Czech Telecom, by US Steel of VSŽ, by Provimi of a local pet food producer, sale of Matador, Topvar, Hyza, Chirana T. Injecta, establishment of a nuclear power plant joint venture between Javys and ČEZ, etc.

Roman spent several years specialising and practicing in the area of non-performing corporate loans and retail loan portfolios. He was responsible for valuations, setting out workout strategies, and managing due diligence teams. His workout experience includes a 1+ year secondment to Banca Intesa, where he was responsible for portfolio due diligence, valuation, carve-out, portfolio sale structuring, advisory on workout team setup and identification of strategies and sale in a post-privatisation scenario. Among clients were J.P.Morgan, Sisu Capital, Schroder Salomon Smith, Slovak Consolidation Agency, Czech Consolidation Agency.

Roman graduated from school of journalism at University of Comenius, Bratislava and passed semestral exchange programs at University of Pittsburgh (economy, journalism) and Georgetown University, Washington, DC (Bryce Harlow Institute for Business and Government Affairs). He also passed ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) exams.
