Branislav has served in the financial services sector since 2004 in various roles in which he has gained valuable experiences in mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance advisory and corporate banking.

Before joining Limerock Advisory team, he co-managed a small team of M&A professionals at Deloitte in Bratislava. In his Associate Director position he was responsible for origination and execution of M&A transactions in a wide range of sectors including financial services, retail, information technology, telecommunications and utilities. As a member of the Central European financial services sector group he led various initiatives in Slovakia. Prior to his career at Deloitte, he spent 3 years at local M&A boutique Wood & Co. in Bratislava in Manager position.

Branislav’s track record in M&A includes successful completion of EUR 5bn joint-venture between JAVYS a.s., the Slovak government nuclear decommissioning company and CEZ, a.s., the Czech utility company, formed for the purposes of construction a new nuclear power plant at Jaslovske Bohunice. He executed sell-side, buy-side and capital raising transactions for international clients (Sumitomo Corp.), private companies (e.g. Tempest, Softip), private equity clients (Mid Europa, J&T, SRKF) and a number of Slovak entrepreneurs.

In addition, Branislav gained exposure to corporate banking during his combined four years with Halifax Bank of Scotland in London and Citigroup in Bratislava. As a part of the client relationship team, he managed a small portfolio of obligors consisting predominantly from the large corporations (FTSE 200 in the UK / turnover above EUR 35m in Slovakia). He was responsible to structure credit facilities for the clients and run the credit approval process on behalf of clients within the bank. Client portfolio included Midas Capital Partners, British Nuclear Fuels Ltd, VT Group plc, HRH Prince Alwaleed’s Fairmont Hotels, Maspex Wadowice SA, Slavia Capital and ZSR, the Slovak national railway company.

He also worked for Morningstar’s equity research and data provider Aspect Huntley Pty Ltd in Sydney, Australia.

Branislav holds the Master of Commerce in Accounting & Finance degree from Macquarie University in Sydney and Master’s Degree from Matej Bel University in Slovakia. Branislav is a CFA® charterholder.
